Discarded Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal scored 200 runs in a List A cricket game and thereby, became the first wicketkeeper-batsman in the history of List A cricket to score a double century. He scored 200 runs from 148 balls with the help of 27 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 135.13 in a match between Water & Power Development Authority and Habib Bank Limited in Hyderabad, Pakistan.

By achieving the unique feat, he was able to do what legendary wicketkeeper-batsmen like Adam Gilchrist, MS Dhoni and Kumar Sangakkara could not achieve whether in domestic or international cricket.

In ODI cricket, former India captain MS Dhoni holds the record for highest score in an innings. He scored an unbeaten 183 against Sri lanka in 2005. Adam Gilchrist is on second in the list with scores of 172 and 154.
