Team India’s veteran wicketkeeper MS Dhoni is all set to complete 50 catches in the Twenty20 Internationals when India take on South Africa in the third and final T20I at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on Saturday. Dhoni already has the most number of catches in T20Is with 49 scalps to his name and is one short to complete a half-century of catches in the shortest format of the game.
West Indies’ Dinesh Ramdin is number two in the list and is way behind Dhoni with 32 catches to his name. South Africa’s Quinton de Kock is at number three with 30 catches.
Dhoni has played 88 T20Is so far, scoring 1,432 runs at an average of 37.68, including two half-centuries. Not only his batting, he is still considered the best wicketkeeper in the world, even at the age of 36.
